Avenue Winds

Avenue Winds engages audiences of all ages with dynamic chamber music performances featuring new works by local San Francisco Bay Area composers as well as the classics of the woodwind quintet repertoire.   Mrs. Keller has enjoyed being a member of this ensemble since its inception.

Formed in 2002, this captivating woodwind quintet has performed in recital at numerous venues, including the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of San Francisco, Berkeley Chamber Performances, Deep Valley Chamber Music Series, Trinity Chamber Series, Community School of Music & Arts (Tateuchi Hall), Rengstorff House, and the Old First Concert Series.

Avenue Winds maintains a special interest and enthusiasm for 20th and 21st century works and actively seeks out collaborations with contemporary composers as part of the LoCAL Living Music Project. Recent highlights from the LoCal Living Music Project include:

• Ensemble-in-Residence for the San Francisco Chamber Wind Festival from 2006-2009;
• An entire recital of new works by members of the 2009 National Association of Composers, USA, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter;
• Proud three-time performer at the annual San Francisco Festival of Contemporary Music;
• Featured Artist at the 2011 and 2012 Irregular Resolutions Composer’s Collective Concerts.
